FIBERONE LLC Celebrates 20 Years in Business
Thank you to our valued customers for your support
This year marks FIBERONE’s 20th year in business! Drawing on decades of experience in the telecommunications field, it has been our goal to not only provide high quality fiber optic products, but to also be a technical consultant and resource for each of our customers. We supported our customers while the market transitioned to high speed fiber optic technology and we will continue to do so in the future.
Founder, Craig Mead, spent his early years working for a major telecommunications manufacturer specializing in network applications, technical support, and product management. In 1994 he co-founded Optical Solutions Inc. (purchased by Calix) which developed a fiber to the home (FTTH) terminal to provide video, voice, and data for rural communication networks. Throughout Craig’s career, he has advocated for solutions to help “the guy in the field” and bridge the gap between technical engineers and on-site technicians, bringing to light issues they deal with on a day to day basis.
With this in mind, he began FIBERONE, LLC in July, 2000 to provide customers the highest quality solutions and the best service possible. A customer first approach and “can do” attitude from our employees has helped us grow in a very competitive market.
Today, the increasing demand for fiber optics and volume of fiber going in to Central Offices, Hubs, and Data Centers continues to grow. Hundreds to thousands of strands of fiber has become the norm. At FIBERONE, we realized that traditional LGX style products are not ideal for these applications. As data rates continue to increase, the ability to access connectors for testing, cleaning, and interconnecting is more important than ever. Always challenging the company to “do better” Craig, challenged us to develop new products designed to help make it easier to access fiber optic connectors. Our U-series line of products are the only fiber cassettes that slide out of the chassis, simplifying connector access. Designed with the technician in mind, these devices improve connector access for network operators, reducing errors while saving time and of course labor cost.
This year, we continue to expand our U-Series technology to the outside plant. We recently released our Fiber Distribution Hub line of products which are built to facilitate FTTx network designs. With hundreds of fiber connectors interconnecting in outdoor cabinets, improved access is crucial. Along with our innovative passive splitter designs, FIBERONE products are certain to be a valued resource for network operators.
As we look forward to our future, one thing is certain, technology will continue to evolve. Many new services will certainly require fiber optics or a hybrid of fiber and wireless to provide the next generation of services such as 5G and Smart Cities. We can’t wait!
